It is compulsory that all dogs are microchipped

In 2016, the law changed and made it compulsory that all dogs are to be microchipped.  Owner’s information must be updated on the microchip database to ensure they are complying with the law, failing to do so, equates to the dog is no longer considered microchipped under the new law and enforcement can be taken.

Microchipping is a simple, safe and quick. The chip is the same size as a grain of rice and the procedure is conducted by the Vet or a trained microchip implanter. From the age of 6 weeks puppies can be microchipped. Proving ownership of the puppy, lost/stolen puppies likely to be reunited with owner, proving identity of the pup and obeying the law.
